Setting up chained/split payments

A chained/split/adaptive payment is a payment from a sender that is indirectly split among multiple receivers. It is an extension of a typical payment from a sender to a receiver (administrator of the store), in which a receiver, known as the primary receiver, indirectly passes part of the payment to other receivers, who are called secondary receivers. 

In StoreHippo, you can set up the chained or split payment flow. The primary receiver of the payment gateway in this flow is the store's admin and the secondary receivers are the sellers of the store.

Setting up Split Payment

To setup of the adaptive/split payment by payment gateways, please follow the below steps:

1. Register on the payment gateway
2. Setting up the payment method
3. Adding the seller ledger rules
4. Adding and selecting the seller payout methods
