You can sell your products on Instagram by setting up Instagram shopping. Setting up the Instagram shopping is quite easy and you can do so by following the steps given below:
The very first step is to make sure that you are eligible for Instagram shopping. The following conditions should be met to fulfill the eligibility criteria:
If you are eligible for the Instagram shopping, you can proceed further. Next, you need to connect your Instagram business profile to a Facebook catalog. You can either create a new catalog by yourself or opt for the partner.
After your account and catalog are connected, you need to sign up in the app. Go to the Instagram app and sign up for Shopping. To do so, follow the steps given below:
Usually, this process takes a few days, but sometimes it can take longer. You can visit the Shopping section in the Settings to check your review status.
Once you've been approved, you will receive notifications from Instagram and complete setup in Shopping in Settings to start tagging products in your posts and stories.
Once your account has been approved, you can proceed to set up a shop and start adding product tags and stickers to your Instagram posts and stories. Create a post as usual and tap "Tag Products" to add a product from your catalog. Instagram allows you to feature up to five products per image or video post, and up to 20 products on multi-image posts. You can also go back and add shopping tags to old posts on your business profile. Stories can feature one product sticker per story. Also, you can adjust the color and text of product stickers.
When everything is done, you can take a look at your shopping insights. For this, you need to visit the Insights tab in your profile to view how your shopping posts and stories are performing. By doing so, you will have an idea about what your customers want, so you can offer more relevant products.
