User roles

User roles are the permission granted to the users by the store admin. These roles are the set of permissions for a specific user. One user's permission to access the store can be different from the other depending on their roles. For example, a seller has access to products, but a reseller does not. Some roles predefined by StoreHippo but you can also add custom roles. 

Go to Customers > Users section in the StoreHippo Admin Panel to manage the user roles.

These are the following roles predefined by StoreHippo:

Superadmin

Super admin has access to all the entities of the store.

Seller

A seller has permission to the following sections:

  • Products section
  • Categories
  • Linked products
  • Orders
  • Files
  • Import logs
  • Sellers
  • Shipments

Affiliates

An affiliate has permission to the following sections:

  • Orders
  • Customer enquiries

SEO

An SEO has permission to the following sections:

  • Products
  • Categories
  • Brands
  • Collections
  • Pages
  • Forms
  • Themes
  • Blogs
  • Custom entities

 

Reseller

Reseller only has permission to access the orders section.

Member

Member does not have access to admin panel.

Public

The public does not have access to the admin panel.

Admin

The admin has access to all the entities.

Order manager

An order manager has permission to access the following entities:

  • Products
  • Discounts
  • Coupon codes
  • Orders
  • Shipments

Adding custom roles

You can create a new role and assign it to the user. Click on the Add option and fill the form in the popup. You can also create a new in Advance Settings > Roles section in StoreHippo Admin Panel.
