User Search Queries

Whenever the users visit your site, they usually search for the products by entering some queries in your site's search bar. Many times, you may need to track the search queries entered by the users. This data may help you in the thorough analysis of the user searches. Consequently, you can manage the product listing and marketing accordingly. 

StoreHippo allows you to save and track the user search queries.

Tracking the user search queries

The user search queries automatically get saved. To track the user search queries, follow the steps mentioned below:

Search queries details

The following details are displayed in the search queries section:

  • Query: In this field, the query entered by the user is displayed.
  • User: This field displays the email address of the user. If the user has not logged in, then this field will remain vacant. 
  • Client details: This section contains the details of the user. It displays the information, such as user location, device, IP address, and so on.
  • Total results: In this field, the total number of the result displayed corresponding to the user search query.
  • Created on: This field displays the date and time on which the search query has been created.

Exporting search queries

To export the search queries, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Click the ellipsis icon followed by clicking the Export option. 
  • A dialog box will open up. 
  • You can select all or some specific columns and add filters to export.
  • The number of search queries to be exported can be specified in the Number of records field.
  • Provide the email ID in the send to field and click the Send Email button. The CSV file will be exported to the entered email ID.

Checking status of the exported file

You can check the status of the ongoing process when the export process is initiated. Click on the notification (bell) icon on the top right side of your admin panel to view the status of the export.

The status of the export port process can be viewed by clicking on the button. You can find all the details of the imported files in Export logs. You can also download the file from the export logs section.
