How to add ZIP code based shipping method?

You can set the shipping methods based on the ZIP code. This functionality helps you to add different shipping prices for different PIN codes. Depending on the ZIP or PIN entered by the customer while placing the order, the shipping method(s) will be displayed on the checkout page.

Scenario

You have two shipping methods defined. For the ZIP code "122016", you want to charge the Rs 100 shipping charges. On the other hand, for the other ZIP codes, you want to charge Rs 30 as the shipping charges. You can set this by adding ZIP code based shipping methods.

Steps

To set the shipping method based on the order total, follow the steps mentioned below:

Go to the Settings > Shipping Methods section of the StoreHippo Admin Panel.
Click the Add New button. A form will open up with multiple fields.
In the Name field, enter the name of the shipping method.
From the Type dropdown, select the type of the shipping method. Here, we are selecting the manual. Click here to know how to add the logistics provider based shipping method.
Enter the shipping charges in the Price field.
Select the countries where the shipping charges would be applicable from the Countries dropdown.
Proceed to add the conditions. Click the Add Condition button.
From the Field dropdown, select the Zip code option.
Select the "equal" option from the Operator dropdown.
In the Value field, enter the ZIP code. Here, we are entering "122016" as the value.
Select the Enabled checkbox to activate the shipping method.
Specify the seller and tax if required.
Click the Save button to apply the changes.

Now, the shipping method will be created. When the user will enter "122016" as the ZIP code, the shipping charges will be Rs 100. Similarly, you can create the shipping method for the other ZIP codes and assign the shipping charges for that.
